Mock Starface Ad

An exercise in art direction and working in a group, this project involved choosing a brand to create a mock ad for. With the two classmates I was paired with we decided to use Starface. Part of the project was coming up with a storyline for the product/company. We decided to use the already existing character Starface uses, "Big Yellow" and create a dialogue-less interaction between the character and our actress. Starface already has a strong brand voice but we decided to double down on the gen Z maximalism approach with motion graphics, collage, amped saturation, and upbeat pop music.

I came up with parts of the story, created the motion graphics of Big Yellow and the stars, and created the looping rotoscope of the gems.
